BiG Storage Cheshire Jets picked up their first victory of the season with a 76-69 victory over the PAWS London Capital at the Capital City Academy on Saturday evening.
The Jets broke the game open early on with a 21-2 tear to close the first period out at 27-10. Cheshire maintained their advantage throughout the second period, and ended the half leading 47-29.
The third period saw the home side start strongly with a 13-2 tear to trim the deficit back to seven points at 49-42, and a 7-2 tear in the final period got the Capital even closer at 63-58, but they could not close the gap any further as the Jets held on for their opening victory.
Wes Miller led the London scorers with 25 points, while Jayson Obazuaye led the Jets scoring, also with 25 points.
