Sheffield Sharks surge continued at Birmingham Panthers as they moved level on points with fifth placed Scottish Rocks with a 71-96 victory in the West Midlands.

Shelby Chaney continued his impressive run of form to score a game high 24-points and be the main focus of the Sharks offence.

Chaney scored 12 in a 26-5 start to the match for Sheffield, which set the tone for the match. After leading 12-28 at the first break the Sharks then hit a 14-0 run around the half time break – with six from Chaney – to go ahead 30-55.

From there a further 15-0 tear to end the third quarter ensured that Sheffield kept their hosts at more than arm’s length and put the pressure on Scottish Rocks to maintain their position in fifth.
