In front of a sell-out crowd at the Liverpool Echo Arena the Everton Tigers came up short against local rivals BiG Storage Cheshire Jets.

Tigers never got into a rhythm and trailed 24-26 at the end of the first quarter. The match was broken open at the start of the second period with the visitors 18-4 run forming the basis of a 37-59 half time lead.

An even third quarter followed with Trey Moore hitting back-to-back threes to keep Jets on top. Tigers rarely threatened to eat into the Jets lead for the remainder of the match as the Chester-based club closed the gap on Sheffield Sharks in the final play-off position.
